Doodle Bug’s Bird Supply
Gen Z has a growing obsession with exotic birds due to social media. Both non-profits and government agencies are tackling more explicit instances of bird abuse, such as smuggling. However, the everyday neglect that has become normalized due to pet stores goes largely unaddressed.
In a not-so-distant past, there was a tiny parrot named Doodle.
Doodle loved to kiss each and every one of his toys.
Doodle loved to sing along to his broken radio.
Doodle, above all, loved to talk.
BUT…
Doodle’s life was cut short.
After 4 years with his human family, Doodle died of fatty liver disease,
a completely preventable illness.
Year after year, pet parakeets die after living only half their lifespan.
With excellent care, budgies can live up to 15 years.
Most live less than 7.
is a collaborative agent between birds and their owners.
Our goal is to increase mutual understanding and appreciation between these two entities.
We accomplish this through:
Branding
Social Media
Publications
Product Design
Packaging
Doodle Bug’s has an active social media presence for announcing sales and featuring pets.
Publications can serve as a means of connecting with those considering adopting or purchasing a pet budgerigar.
Many bird products contain vibrant dyes, which can rub off onto birds’ feathers or potentially cause cancer. Meanwhile, naturalistic packaging can be unappealing to first-time owners. We deliver natural products in illustrative packaging to tell consumers that natural can be fun too!
To build a relationship with established bird owners and professionals, Doodle Bug’s regularly attends expos with merchandise and coupons.
