House of Kaboom!
While on a trip to Nashville with my family, my father mistakenly read “House of Kabob” as the “House of Kaboom.” Thus, House of Kaboom!, a fictional fireworks store, was born.
Growing up in Illinois, I remember crossing the border into Indiana and being bombarded with fireworks stores that were nearly indistinguishable from one another. Now, I’ve never been too big on fireworks, but I wanted to try my hand at designing a store with a little more personality.
Crossville, TN, is where my parents live. I wanted to honor this historic little town in my project. While it will have a website that allows anyone to purchase fireworks, its roots are in the South.

After this vital prep work, I was able to start designing.
I created a variety of assets for House of Kaboom!, including a cohesive color scheme, a website landing page, and a billboard design.
